Great collection of essays detailing exactly what feminism is supposed to be, and what it fights for and against.
Only major criticism I have lies in what I would call a lack of intersectionality, though Solnit's talent in being able to express that just because she stands up for these things doesn't mean that it condemns mankind at large, though it is a mankind level epidemic. Having also read Solnit's more recent essays, the dearth of more varied feminism is definitely addressed in her work as of late.
Amazingly written, perfectly intense with a cool veneer of sharp, focused humor.
